The St. Clair County Educational Foundation, Inc. was formed in 2004 for the purpose of fostering, developing, and promoting education. The foundation was formed by concerned business, community, and educational leaders from each community throughout St. Clair County for the common goal of excellence in education. This organization represents a county-wide effort to enhance learning opportunities in every community for students today and for future generations.

MEETING NEEDS...

Each fall, teachers have the opportunity to apply for available grant money for creative projects that enhance the educational experience of the students in the classroom. This grant system requires teachers to create a quality learning program for the students prior to receiving any funds. Approved projects may include funding for computers, software, books, and/or other items to be used directly to enhance learning for the students. All grant money provided will be for a specific used proposed by the teacher and verified by the Board of Directors. The goal of the Foundation is to supplement hands-on learning in the classroom while maintaining accountability for the grants awarded.

Likewise, we also believe that every parent, grandparent and friend, family member, employee, employer, and citizen of St. Clair County can greatly impact our students through participation in this foundation. The Foundation accepts gifts of cash, securities, personal property and real estate. Planned giving, including trust arrangements, bequests in wills, and naming the Foundation beneficiary of a life insurance policy are other means of contributing. The Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your donations are tax deductible.
